Even at the front door, you realize this is a place of privilege. A place to get away from your busy home and office, to retreat to your corner at the tip of the Baja. A place where you can sip your latte while watching the sun rise over the sea and estuary, the pale pink light filtering in and blending with the condo's vibrant Mexican colors. No need to live out of suitcases when your family can live like affluent local residents in a beautifully furnished vacation home with 270° views. The historic colonial town--a short walk away--offers activities and restaurants for everyone, as do the miles of wide, sandy beaches and the resort's own amenities.
If you want to park yourselves at the same spot in the sand every day for a week, this is probably not your ideal spot. Rather, this is for those who prefer to sample lots of different activities and then get away from the crowd (and maybe even from too many hours of intense sun) to some luxurious peace and quiet (and shade with a view), with acoustical and visual privacy.
You'll have specially arranged beach, spa, pool and grounds privileges at the Grand Mayan resort a half mile away -- a 2-minute drive or 20-minute walk. That beach adjoins the estuary preserve with great trails and fascinating wildlife. ATV, Jeep and horseback tours start within walking distance, too. The popular Palmilla Beach, where there is fishing, boating, swimming, and snacks, is 12 minutes away by car. We have beach chairs, towels, beach toys, an umbrella, and a cooler. Snorkel, surf (rentals and lessons are offered), fish, or go boating. You don't have to stay at a touristy hotel or crowded beachfront complex and give up your privacy to spread out in front of one.
You can get your workouts in Alegranza's (or the Grand Mayan's) fitness center or pools, yoga or Pilates classes, on our tennis court, or walking. Relax in a sauna, private jetted tub, or over-sized outdoor Jacuzzis. Practice putting at Alegranza, or, for only $63, go play a par 3 golf course you can see from the condo.
Spend a day swimming with dolphins, an evening in Cabo San Lucas, 17 miles away, then get away from the noisy beach, bars, and cruise ships to San Jose's varied restaurants. Stroll with local families through the town plaza, visit the Art District. Walk to town, amazing restaurant options, grocery stores, and video rentals.
Quilts, painting, photographs, and custom furniture make it apparent that art lovers created this casually sophisticated home. Glass doors disappear into pockets to open up the terrace for an ideal indoor-outdoor lifestyle and vantage point. The view and the location are private and serene, yet also convenient and exciting, from beaches to lush landscaping, from sparkling pools to city lights.
Kick back and enjoy our games, puzzles, pool toys, or books, 3 HDTVs, DVD, a library of movies plus National Geographic, History, sports and and movie channels. Choose from our library of 75 CDs or listen to your own music through the iPod dock and multiple speakers. Stay connected with wireless Internet and a color printer. Keep cool with ocean breezes, A/C, and multi-speed ceiling fans in each room.
Maybe you'd like to do some cooking. The kitchen is cheerful and well-equipped. The dishes range from toddler dishes to everyday Melamine to hand-painted Mexico pottery. Or call for room or pool service from a top-notch but reasonably priced on-site restaurant, or let us arrange catering as you wish.
Port-a-crib and high chair available upon request. Easy access for strollers, luggage, toddlers, or grandparents: elevator from our reserved underground parking straight up to our third floor (a rarity at Alegranza).
Our website (www. OceanviewCorner. Com) describes many more local activities. It also has lots of photos and gives you a feel for all the extras and special features at our conveniently situated and artfully decorated condos, and the Alegranza Resort which wants to be your five-star home away from home. |
